Take a few hours, buckle down, and create these wonderful projects that everyone will love.

Easy DIYs That You Can Definitely Do

You’re going to be surprised by how manageable these tasks are, and they don’t even take that long to complete. All you need are a few supplies, a little motivation, and somewhere to put the projects when they’re all done!

1. Make Your Own Shelving With a Pallet

You know those construction pallets that are about 3 feet by 3 feet, and have a number of boards that run across them? These are surprisingly effective objects to make shelving out of. And no, it won’t look like you just threw an old piece of construction wood up on your wall.

The key is to sand and stain the piece. Find a pallet, find some sandpaper, and buy a stain that’s dark enough for your liking. Once you sand and stain, simply hang the piece with a few nails. It will hang nicely, and you can use the cross-boards as shelves.

Awesome DIY pieces can make you feel great about your home. If you’re more interested in purchasing a cabinet, though, RTA Cabinet Supply has options that you will love.

2. Create Your Own Headboard

This one will be excellent if you’re doing some remodeling and have an old door to use. A lot of older doors have a lot of cut-outs and ridges that have been painted different colors.

These are perfect things to paint and finish, only to turn sideways and use as a headboard behind your bed. This is an unusual thing to do, but people will love it. You may need to attach some two-by-fours to the bottom of the headboard to line it up with your bed, but other than that, you should be good to go!

3. Make Your Own Hanging Planters

Have a full recycling bin? You might want to pull out all of those bottles you’re harboring.

Plastic bottles are excellent candidates for making hanging planters, and here’s how you can do it. Cut the bottle in half, using the top end as the base of your planter. Fill it with dirt, and plant your items just as you normally would.

Cut a few holes at the new top of the bottle, and attach some twine to each one. Those pieces of twine can run all the way to the top of your room, allowing the bottle to hang down as far as you want it too with plants in-tow.
